Hi list-

Just upgraded to the latest devel release of ClamAV
(clamav-devel-20080124) under FreeBSD 6.3-RC2 and immidiately got
memory/resource/perms error and high processor load. According to
ports the ClamAV version:

%pkg_info | grep clamav
clamav-devel-20080124 Command line virus scanner written entirely in C

However clamd.log reports version devel-20080127. I'm using clamd with
qmail-scanner 2.01st. It was working just fine with the previous
release of ClamAV 20080121 and nothing was changed in terms of
qmail-scanner configuration. It looks like it's definitely the clamd
issue because as soon as I disable AV scanning in
qmail-scanner-queue.pl ($SKIP_SCANNING=1;) things get back to normal.

Here is the error I receive:

Jan 28 10:46:22 mx X-Qmail-Scanner-2.01st:
[mx.kaba1ah.org12014955797643446] clamdscan: corrupt or unknown clamd
scanner error or memory/resource/perms problem - exit status 512/2

clamd.log:

I double-checked permissions and refetched AV definitions but none of

Any advise would be greatly appreciated! I'm ready to provide any
debugging information.

Many thanks for your time.
