Hi - I'm new here and request some help! :)

I'm running Ubuntu 7.10 with Clamav (Clamd) version 0.91.2 build 4610.
I'm running Clamav mainly as a virus scanner for Exim.

When I reboot the machine, the directory /var/run/clamav disappears and
I have to manually recreate it.

I've searched all the files in /etc and subdirectories for any mention
of any thing that creates or removes that directory, but the only thing
I can find is /etc/clamav/clamav-base.init which would appear to be
trying to create the directory if it does not currently exist. If this
file is running, it doesn't seem to be doing the necessary.

So, can anyone help:

1) why is the directory getting removed
or
2) how can I recreate the directory on clamd startup
or
3) how can I make clamav-base.init run, or fix it if it's wrong?

I did a google and tried to search the mailing list for an answer but I
didn't find anything, so any help would be appreciated! I had this
working under Fedora, but I'm not as familiar with Ubuntu's way of doing
things yet.

Regards
Steve
