I don't think I ever installed it from source. I think I have always 
installed from ports. I even have the distfiles in there:

/usr/ports/distfiles/clamav-0.90.2.tar.gz
/usr/ports/distfiles/clamav-0.90.3.tar.gz
/usr/ports/distfiles/clamav-0.91.1.tar.gz
/usr/ports/distfiles/clamav-0.91.2.tar.gz
/usr/ports/distfiles/clamav-0.91.tar.gz
