[snip] That was made to improve performance, the Changelog say so. But again, scanning mailboxes in a _special_ way is not what clamscan was designed for. The debug option spewing out a message number is equivalent to the other option we pointed out: formail can be used to skip N messages, or to separate them and give you a number. To me it is much better to use a proper mailbox filter that sepparates the messages and then scan them; the filter may understand other formats, not just the flat file one -- clamscan would be playing catch with specialized filters which is a waste of resources. - -- René Berber -----BEGIN PGP SIGNATURE----- Version: GnuPG v1.4.7 (Cygwin) iD8DBQFHBCZCL3NNweKTRgwRCOvQAJ4lXgFAoN79l6yz4389NaYWyRz4RACfXiMw pwjNQumcMj3Ssd08mRgn84g= =vk9m -----END PGP SIGNATURE----- _______________________________________________ Help us build a comprehensive ClamAV guide: visit http://wiki.clamav.net http://lurker.clamav.net/list/clamav-users.html
