Hi list. I too had this problem on Fedora 7. It was caused by SElinux labeling on /var/lib/clamav and /var/lib/clamav/daily.cvd. Changing labeling from unlabeled -t to temporary data fixes the problem (to change, access the file in Nautilus as root. right click / properties, click on the permissions tab the rest is obvious).
