When 'freshclam' downloads an updated definition file, it checks it prior to installing it. I am writing a small shell script that I want to use that will do essentially the same thing without using 'freshclam'.
What is the syntax to use to check a file to insure it is not broken before installing it? I have tried a few combinations, but nothing seems to be producing the results I am looking for.
