I have a Linux (CentOS) server and I need to download the latest ClamAV

documentation, but don't find instructions for using wget or other
command line utilities.
I'd suggest to go for the rpm packages Das Wiers provides:

Alternatively you can use yum

Also take a look at http://dag.wieers.com/rpm/FAQ.php#B

The RHEL4 update RPM works well with CentOS. I use it on both 32 & 64
bit machines.

Indeed, I use yum pretty much and had always pretty good results with the rpms from Dag Wiers.
