I upgraded to latest Webmin after I got latest clamav, and now I get this
when I click on the clamav module:
WARNING: Please fill in the location of the secondary signatures database
(should be daily.cvd (version < 0.90) or daily.info (version >= 0.90)) in
the module's configuration.
I don't really understand what daily.info is. And I get this error
whether I specify daily.cvd or daily.info.
Could someone explain what's going on here? I know some aren't fans of
Webmin, but now that I see this error, I want to fix it and understand the
differences between these files! Thanks - John
clamav 0.90 and newer use a directory named daily.info for updates rather
than a file named daily.cvd. This allows incremental updates rather than
transferring the entire daily.cvd file each time there is a change.
Apparently webmin wants the path to the daily.info directory, probably
something like /var/db/clamav/daily.info
Thanks. I have /var/lib/clamav/daily.inc instead of daily.info. I'm
concerned that I have parts of 2 installs...? I use debian stable and
clamav was installed using apt-get. However, against my better judgment, I
used the webmin upgrade module to update clamav. If someone would just
finish this off by telling me what daily.inc is (it looks like your
description of daily.info but not named that), I'll drop this thread from
this list. Thanks again. - John
