I upgraded my test-system to 0.90.1 without realising that freshclams default behaviour had changed to using the diff-method rather than downloading the full cvd file. WHen I found out a bit later, I updated freshclam.conf, but this seemed to have no effect. This turned out to be because I'd left the daily.inc directory. When I removed it, freshclam retrieved the daily cvd on the next attempt.
