I have no script OnUpdateExecute script and got the lock problem
today, right after a completly buggy freshclam run. Watch the logs:

Unfortunelly, people rebooted server before called me, i couldnt
watch for stale files on /var/lib/clamav. It was working again right
after a reboot.
