Hi all, since 2 years we were satisfied having clamav on our small community server (Slackware-11.0, sendmail), but the last upgrade to 0.90 brought a complete disaster:
After a new install (the old version was completely removed along with the config files) clamav-milter began to duplicate itself. I did not recognize and in 7-8 hours or so there were several hundred (or thousand, I did'nt count)instances of clamav-milter running. The server was near to die. During the past weekend I recompiled clamav several times (without experimental mode) with the same result. Lastly I completely removed clamav from the server. I hope that this will be fixed soon. (Sorry I deleted the logs in my rage, so can not copy and paste. As I remember the clamav-milter created a new instance in every couple of minutes as 'the socket is used by an other process' or similar. /clamav-milter naturally/).
