With curl 7.15.5 (i486-pc-linux-gnu) libcurl/7.15.5 OpenSSL/0.9.8c zlib/1.2.3 libidn/0.6.5 I can download the url you supplied just fine. Either there is a bug in curl or in how it's being called.
