Yeah, I got the error too. I poked at it for a bit, but I didn't get
any further than you. A simple fix exists I'm sure, but I didn't
stumble on it. I was able to manually run the gcc command and add
"-lresolv" and it compiled properly. So something is wrong with
configure that it's not adding the -lresolv to the gcc commandline.

I'd been getting the same error since about two weeks ago and had to
manually add -lresolv to clamav-milter LIBS.
Just recently i found that it was triggered by using "--without-libcurl"
option.
