What is the difference between clamd, clamdscan and clamscan and which one should be used on a file server. (Centos 4.3)
The first paragraph of each man page tells you what you're looking for. In brief, if you use clamdscan you need to also use clamd (as clamd does the actual work). I'd suggest that, for intermitent scans (say, daily) you're as well of using clamscan. As for the man page, if you've installed from the RPMs then you need to insure you install ALL the RPMs, as has been said a great many times in the past. -- Please keep list traffic on the list.
