I run without this parameter (unlimited children,) and I haven't had a problem.
Currently seven active clamav-milter processes. 2GB memory, ~9000
messages/day.
I am indeed referring to clamav-milter --max-children. For some reason
I have to pass a value to this parameter , without it I'm getting a
startup error : --max-children needs to defined, so I've put it to 5.
The server we're using has 1GB memory installed.
