Everytime I upgraded, I would go into the old source tree (I build from source, and install) and execute 'make uninstall' then I would compile the new version and install according to the instructions. Everything seemed to be okay. Then one day, I saw something in my MailScanner log which caused me to do a version dump of ClamAV, and where I though I was running 0.86, I was really running 0.83 or something like that. So I ended up tracking down anything that had 'clam' in it, deleted it, and then did a re-install of ClamAV 0.86 and wala! I have not had any issues since. So I would suggest the same to you, track down and remove anything that has 'clam' as part of it's name, remove it and re-install from the latest version. hth, - --- Craig Daters ([EMAIL PROTECTED]) Systems Administrator West Press 1663 West Grant Road Tucson, Arizona 85745 (520) 624-4939 x208 (520) 624-2715 fax www.westpress.com -----BEGIN PGP SIGNATURE----- Version: PGP 8.1 iQA/AwUBQtvU4xBVT8XLuTbnEQJYxgCfagDepYGlpOeT21y3PgUnc37JW2IAn2Op j9r2V/PwqbQ96Wq/oiC9T23s =wA05 -----END PGP SIGNATURE----- -- Please note: It is the policy of West Press that all e-mail sent to and from any @westpress.com address may be recorded and monitored.
