1) Does clamav detect the malware? Save the email and try to clamscan it, what is the result? 2) Is clamav enabled in amavisd? (should read something about $clamav in amavisd.conf - usually /etc/amavisd.conf) How do you use amavisd from sendmail? 3) Look for lines reading milter in your sendmail.cf (usually /etc/mail/sendmail.cf) What does the lines say? 4) Was clamav working or not? 5) Is clamd running or not? can you detect virus with clamdscan?
