Well, I read in the last one, version 961. In my last email headers I see the following:
Received: from ... by host1 (envelope-from <[EMAIL PROTECTED]>, uid 502)
with qmail-scanner-1.25 (clamdscan: 0.86.1/958. spamassassin: 3.0.4.
Clear:RC:0(217.146.176.83):SA:0(1.3/5.0):. Processed in 0.121679
secs); 30 Jun 2005 19:16:01 -0000
In my mind, I except to see here 0.86.1/961 instead of 0.86.1/958.

Why doesnt 961 appear?

clamav and freshclam are normally running in daemon mode on that machine. S 0:00 /usr/local/bin/freshclam -d -c 24 --daemon-notify=/usr/local/etc/clamd.conf --on-update-execute=/usr/local/sbin/clamd reload
S 0:00 /usr/local/sbin/clamd
S 0:00 \_ /usr/local/sbin/clamd

Thanks for your help.

Thomas

you have to run qmail-scanner-queue.pl -z

You should put this in cron or something to run every day..

http://qmail-scanner.sourceforge.net/ says:

Any SMTP sessions that are dropped (due to network outages/etc) may lead to files lying around in /var/spool/qmailscan . Running /var/qmail/bin/qmail-scanner-queue.pl -z at least once daily will ensure such files are deleted when they're over 30 hours old - make a cronjob to do that.

Thanks, this works. I didnt understood the text passage above before.
My next question is about the option "--on-update-execute=" in freshclam: is it possible to call qmail-scanner-queue.pl -z with "||" after reload or on which way could I run both executes? My goal is to start qmail-scanner on that time point when I get the newest signatures. I dont want to run it via cron if possible.
