I have run into a problem with sendmail and clmilter. Specifically, when sendmail is instructed to filter mail through clam (clmilter), telnetting to sendmail results in an "out of memory, unable to allocate memory" exception. Sendmail itself is working because it works 100% when I remove clmilter.

This was working with a clamav from about six months ago, but broke when I upgraded to a newer version last week. I have also tested a cvs snapshot from a few days ago but the problem was still there.

Other things I have checked:
- Both the clamav user and mail user can access clmilter.sock
- The clmilter.sock is created when I start clamd
- Sendmail is using clmilter.sock from the correct location.

I first posted this a few days ago but haven't heard back from anyone.

Any advice would be appreciated.

Cheers,
Elliot.
