Running clamd directly rather than the perl module is definately
different, or so I thought, no?
Running SA, which is mostly perl, is one hog everyone knows, I believe.

It looks like Postfix users must use Amavis in order to incorporate
clamav. I run Exim+exiscan+Clamav (clamd) and I am generally happy with
the load.
