Does your installation include ClamAv and Amavis-ng then? Upgraded anything else at the same time? To pinpoint the problem you are going to need to check the log files, the mail log could show if you had a virus/spam "attack" (in quotes because many times is not really an attack, is just one infected PC sending messages over and over, but the load could be increasing), then perhaps you are receiving really large messages (if it can be configured, I usually disable virus scanning on anything over 2 MB). > Some thing causes the clamscan program to loop infinitely, taking > All the available memory and stopping access to the internet. This one uses much more resources than clamav, I had similar problems with an old Sparc5 that also has 64MB of RAM, but runs very well as Web/DNS/CVS/mail(sendmail+MailScanner+clamav) server on a small office.
