Mine is configured to check the tables every 600 seconds regardless of what freshclam is doing. My understanding is if a new database is available it will attempt to load it. I don't know what it might do if only part of a new database is found (as it might be when in transit). However, freshclam will advise it when the database is fully downloaded. dp _______________________________________________ http://lurker.clamav.net/list/clamav-users.html
