I have been running clamav for quite some time now. For most of that time I was receiving between 1500 and 2000 viruses per day. However, lately the number is down to about 200 per day. I don't have any users complaining about receiving viruses so I don't think there is a problem with clamav. Is the virus volume really decreasing?
I think it maybe, we are seeing a lot less per day. Most ISP ads in the UK these days are trumpeting their anti-virus and anti-spam filters so perhasp we are all going to benfit from the "herd immunity" effect.
