I haven't checked (the machine it is running on has plenty of memory and swap), but I will check next time this happens. Would you be willing to share your build configuration with me off list so I can compare?
./configure \ --enable-milter \ --with-dbdir=/var/clamav
I compile using gcc 2.95.3, zlib 1.2.2, gmp 4.1.4 and curl 7.12.3; configure auto-detects those properly.
