I can do that, but please tell me why it is not automatically
updating. Because this problem might occurs in future also when new
version releases.
Perhaps you're confused? Clam is updating virus database files, but NOT updating the actual program binaries. This log message is there to let you know that your binaries are not the latest version.
This is NOT a message that is logged when new virus definitions are not being downloaded.
Unless you require functionality that is needed in a newer version, you do not have to update immediately to 0.83. However, newer versions are capable of catching more types of viruses, and so you may need this functionality without immediately recognizing it.
