He should search his software for a call to:
void cl_settempdir(const char *dir, short leavetemps);
and set the second argument to 0.
The developer has made the above changes, provided me with a new version of the software, and all seems to be working fine. As soon as he's sure it's all working correctly he'll release the new version.
