I have installed and tested ClamAV (.80-2) which starts up clamd and runs
without a problem. Also I have installed clamav-milter (.80-2).
I included in my sendmail.mc file the suggested:
INPUT_MAIL_FILTER(‘clmilter’,
‘S=local:/var/run/clamav/clmilter.sock,F=,T=S:4m;R:4m’)dnl
define(‘confINPUT_MAIL_FILTERS’, ‘clmilter’)dnl
The files: clmilter.sock and clamd.sock (as well as the accompanying .pid
files)exist in /var/run/clamav.
When I try to restart Sendmail with the INPUT_MAIL_FILTER enabled, I get the
following errors:
Jan 13 14:34:26 ns2 sendmail[884]: NOQUEUE: SYSERR(root):
/etc/mail/sendmail.cf: line 1682: X\021clmilter\022: unknown filter equate
<snip>
It seems to me that there are some "strange" character around "clmilter".
In my .mc file the opening hyphen is 0x60 and the closing one is 0x27.
