Hi,

I've installed SpamAssassin and clamav-0.80 on my RedHat mailserver
(sendmail). But there seems to be some problem....

I revoke spamassassin and clamav through /user/home/.procmailrc. It works
fine until I call clamav (just spamassassin). BTW, I use :

:0fw: clamAV.lock
| clamscan

to call clamav for user.

When I use above lines, I cant access mails through pop and accessing it
through IMAP gives
"Can't open INBOX (file /var/spool/mail/linuxadmin): not in valid mailbox
format"

I found the error, clamav puts newline characters in mailbox file
(/var/spool/mail/usr). If I delete these empty lines, I can access the
mails.
But how to stop clamav doing it. I've tried MailScanner, it works well
without such errors, but my problem is, I dont want to use spam/virus
protection for all my users (some of them are too lazy to configure and sort
spam folders and I cant let any false positives destroy imp mails).

Please help me in setting this this way or other way.

Thanks in advance
Nitin
