Is there any way to tell freshclam what ip to use
to get it's updates. We have a problem with our main ip being locked out due to an attack.
Now there is no way to do that, afaik.
As a temp. fix, add a static route for some mirrors and specify them in freshclam.conf using the hostnames available at
http://www.clamav.net/mirrors.html

I have prepared a patch (against current CVS, but also applies to 0.80) which enables binding to a specific local IP address for HTTP downloads (but not for DNS at the moment). Maybe this is useful for other multi-homed users as well.
