Hi
I've just started using clamav with cgpav and
CommuniGate Pro running on a Redhat Entreprise AS box. My question is, what is
the best way to upgrade from one version to another? I have compiled the new
version to the make stage but have not done make install.
Do I need to get rid of the existing version, or
can I merely stop clamd, run make install and then restart it?
I have heard that the clamd.conf file may get
overwritten. Should I save it elsewhere and then put it back after the make
install.
I want the minimum upgrade time so that email is
not left unfiltered. I can't find anyting in the docs about the best upgrade
process, or on the list.
