On-access scanning means that files are being scanned each time you touch 
them, i.e. perform copy, open, save operations. H+BDV wrote a kernel module 
to provide this functionality, the so called dazuko (German for 
DAteiZUgriffsKOntrolle). It interacts with their AvGuard and thus files are 
virus checked each time they are being accessed. Somehow I suppose this 
should work in a similar way with clamd and clamuko.
