Hi there,
we are running clamd in combination with clamdscan to scan incoming mails for viruses on smtp level with courier-mta here. Works fine.
The signature files are updated using freshclam started via crontab.
The crontab entry used is
- --8<-- # # clamav # 23 1,9,17 * * * root /usr/bin/freshclam >>/var/log/clamav.log 2>&1 - --8<--
Will the running clamd automatically use the updated signature files fetched by freshclam or is it necessary to restart clamd from time to time ?
