It is different, but as an rc is the last step in the process of getting
to a new stable version, it does indicate that things are getting close.

Looking at the 0.70rc -> 0.70 delay, it was about a month. It may be
that 0.80 has had more testing as snapshots and so the rc to release
delay will be shorter. Time will tell....
