I just spent AGES trying to get this to work on some Linux systems. Turns out that unless you escape the % on those systems the crontab entry will fail. This is what is working for me on my Fedora Core 2 systems: 12 * * * * sleep `expr $RANDOM \% 1800` && /usr/bin/freshclam --quiet Regards, +-----------------------------+---------------------------------+ | Peter Kiem .^. | E-Mail : <[EMAIL PROTECTED]> | | Zordah IT /V\ | Mobile : +61 0414 724 766 | | IT Consultancy & /( )\ | WWW : www.zordah.net | | Internet Services ^^-^^ | ICQ : "Zordah" 866661 | +-----------------------------+---------------------------------+ ------------------------------------------------------- This SF.Net email is sponsored by: YOU BE THE JUDGE.
