I have this setup for maybe two years. I am running
FreeBSD 5.0 with updated after the problems began.
ClamAV 0.74 and Qmail 1.03 and qmail-scanner 1.20. The
last two or three weeks the system is getting
unresponsive so slow it does not respond to the users.
After running top I see several clamscan running. I am
forced to stop the mail server then after the server
returns to normal restart the mail system. At this
point it seems to be getting worse I had to do this 5
or 6 time yesterday and already once today. We get a
ton of spam here so that I am sure is contributing to
this problem I do run spam assassin but it runs from
the .qmail file after the clamscan.
