Thanks Peter! More great tips! Especially the freshclam.conf/clamav.conf explanation. I know I read somewhere that it was only used by clamd but forgot until you mentioned it. I've been reading too much lately...
It's mentioned at the top of the file but since it's named in such a generic way most people think it affects all components of Clam AV. It would be better if it was called clamd.conf, less confusion that way I think.
