I have isolated the problem to the clamd deamon but can't get around it. scanclam works without problems but the scandclam gives the errors.
I'm using UNIX socket to attach, the file is created in /tmp/clamd correctly the owner is clamav and group is clamav.
What now?
If you run clamd as an unprivledged user (and you should), then you can't scan files with clamdscan that the unprivledged user doesn't have access to (ie: /root/). You can use clamscan there however, as it would run as the user executing the command.
