As far as I know, the configuration should be correct, since it worked
before the upgrade.  However, I don't see any logging for my test
messages after the upgrade.  The headers of the messages I received with
the test attachments do not contain an X-Scan-Signature header.  

Do you know of something extra I should be doing?

Try looking for an X-Scan-Signature: header

Are you using exiscan? If so I can send you my exim.conf file as an
example of a system using exim and clamav via a Unix socket where clamd
and freshclam work just fine.
