Philipp Ringli wanted us to know: >+ /usr/bin/freshclam --quiet --datadir=/var/lib/clamav >--log=/var/log/clamav/freshclam.log
Run it from the commandline like this: /usr/bin/freshclam --datadir=/var/lib/clamav --log=/var/log/clamav/freshclam.log You can also add --verbose into that line. Here's what it looks like on mine: smtp1 conf # /usr/bin/freshclam --datadir="/var/lib/clamav" \ --log="/var/log/clamav/freshclam.log" --log-verbose --verbose \ --daemon-notify="/etc/clamav.conf" Current working dir is /var/lib/clamav Max retries == 3 ClamAV update process started at Wed Jun 23 18:21:00 2004 Connected to database.clamav.net (64.69.64.158).
