Please do the following to help to track this: 1) Enable Debug and Foreground in clamav.conf 2) Start clamav-milter directly from strace, not using the shell script you mentioned, but using the settings in /etc/sysconfig/clamav-milter 3) Reset Debug & Foreground values 4) Email the output of strace to me -Nigel -- Nigel Horne.
