Send yourself an Eicar test string inside a zip file. http://www.eicar.org/anti_virus_test_file.htm > and how do I enable scanning attachments at all? That depends a fair bit on how you are passing emails to ClamAV for scanning - are you using a milter, Amavis, MailScanner...? Regards, Antony. -- ===================================== Antony, Thanks for your response, and sorry for my vague problem desription. I am using Postfix - Amavis-new - Clamav gateway setup, which is stopping most of the spam and all embedded viruses (the main mailserver is Groupwise). I believe that attachments are not scanned, because once in awhile users are getting variety of worms in .zip attachments in obvously spoofed messages ( we block all other types but zips) Yes, and clamav is catching all tests.
