The recommended setup will result mail flow
sender -> exim -> amavis -> exim -> mailbox. VERY BAD.
Note the extra hops? It means your exim will process the same mail twice.
Compare it with exim+exiscan solution.

Yes, but I can't help you there.
I tried once, but performance-wise it's terrible.
I used instructions from http://www.ijs.si/software/amavisd/README.exim_v4
You add amavis router, amavis transport, and local_interfaces directive.
Anyway, as I said earlier this is the wrong list,
You might get better luck on exim-users or amavis-users list.
