However, I hadn't allowed for the main IT guys at the other end of our VPN being helpful! They must have stopped TCP packets for DNS sometime on Monday afternoon. I'll sort out some DNS servers from our ISP and (yet again!!!!!!!!!) work around the IT guys. (Trog helped out last time -> freshclam timeout erros - I ended having to build a Debian / Squid HTTP Proxy to bypass the official Novell HTTP proxy).
