Try to list your perl packages to know exactly what is installed : shell>rpm -qa | grep perl
If perl-iostringy && perl-mailtools are "installed", you should --force the install of perl-MIME-tools wich is THE package you need for Clam. If it fails, deinstall them and install them again. If it fails again, try to install FreeSBD to know know exactly what your're doing with your computer. :-) Nicolas > -----Message d'origine----- > De : [EMAIL PROTECTED] > [mailto:[EMAIL PROTECTED] la part de Ling C. > Ho > Envoyé : jeudi 18 mars 2004 21:11 > À : [EMAIL PROTECTED] > Objet : Re: [Clamav-users] can't install amavisd-new on RH9 > > > pi wrote: > > > Hello all > > I can't install amavis on my Redhat9 box > > > > here are the messages I got: > > > > > > [EMAIL PROTECTED] amavisd]# rpm -ivh > > amavisd-new-20030616-5.p8.rh90.dag.i386.rpm > > error: Failed dependencies: > > perl(Convert::TNEF) is needed by > > amavisd-new-20030616-5.p8.rh90.dag > > perl(MIME::Entity) is needed by > amavisd-new-20030616-5.p8.rh90.dag > > perl(MIME::Parser) is needed by > amavisd-new-20030616-5.p8.rh90.dag > > perl(MIME::Tools) is needed by amavisd-new-20030616-5.p8.rh90.dag > > perl(MIME::Words) is needed by amavisd-new-20030616-5.p8.rh90.dag > > > > [EMAIL PROTECTED] amavisd]# rpm -ivh > > perl-Convert-TNEF-0.17-rh9_1.noarch.rpm > > warning: perl-Convert-TNEF-0.17-rh9_1.noarch.rpm: V3 DSA signature: > > NOKEY, key ID f5648477 > > error: Failed dependencies: > > perl(MIME::Body) is needed by perl-Convert-TNEF-0.17-rh9_1 > > perl-mimetools is needed by perl-Convert-TNEF-0.17-rh9_1 > > > > [EMAIL PROTECTED] amavisd]# rpm -ivh > > perl-MIME-tools-5.411a-rh9_1.noarch.rpm > > warning: perl-MIME-tools-5.411a-rh9_1.noarch.rpm: V3 DSA signature: > > NOKEY, key ID f5648477 > > error: Failed dependencies: > > perl-iostringy is needed by perl-MIME-tools-5.411a-rh9_1 > > perl-mailtools is needed by perl-MIME-tools-5.411a-rh9_1 > > > > I ALREADY installed the packages perl-IO-stringy and perl-MailTools!!! > > > > Can someone help me > > Thx > > Phil > > > > Did you install the perl-MailTools package from Redhat?
