Attached you will find a patch from Alexandre Biancalana <ale*biancalanas.net> which adds support for logging to stdout. It's still waiting for revision and inclusion, but you might like to try it (please let me know if it works).
Well, the patch applied sucessfully, but logging still doesn't work (still the zombie process). I have noticed another thing, when running "ps axwww|grep errors" I get a message like this :
Problem with internal logger. Please check the permissions on the /dev/stdout file.
I don't know what permissions should /dev/stdout have? On my system I have :
[EMAIL PROTECTED] root]# ll /dev/stdout
lrwxrwxrwx 1 root root 17 Feb 24 19:32 /dev/stdout -> ../proc/self/fd/1
[EMAIL PROTECTED] root]# ll /proc/self/fd/1
lrwx------ 1 root root 64 Mar 20 11:36 /proc/self/fd/1 -> /dev/ttyp6
[EMAIL PROTECTED] root]# ll /dev/ttyp6 crw--w---- 1 andrej tty 3, 6 Mar 20 11:36 /dev/ttyp6
I'm running clamd as qscand. Any help apriciated.
Thanks in advice and have a nice day,
Andrej.
