Hi Everyone,

I downloaded the ClamAV CVS source, enabled OLE2, built it all
(first on redhat7.3 which needed strlcat et.al. to be defined) and
finally on Redhat 9 (which compiled cleanly).

So far, a complete success.

I want this to co-exist with SpamAssassin (2.63) which I have
installed as a MILTER (silter?). Currently the SpamAssassin milter
is BEFORE the ClamAV milter entry, however I don't believe it will
make much of a difference.

As I said, all my testing shows that it all great, and I'm happy
so far! One of my test emails *didn't* trigger a virus warning
though I has expected it to. It turns out that NortonAV (CE8) doesn't
pick it up either, and I have no proof it is a virus (I just assume
any 'exe' emailed to me from an unknown sender must be). Its probably
just a trojan :_) If you want to look at the suspicious message, its
in ftp://spam:[EMAIL PROTECTED]/unknown_mail.txt

I put in a cron line to run 'freshclam' (without parameters) as this
seems to do the right thing, and clamd runs as the clamav user.

I turned off all kazuki or clamuki options since I cant see users
accessing the mail-gateway as local users :-)

Thanks for a great product!

Regards,

David le Blanc
