For some reason the backport install
(using apt-get install clamav) omits
the clamav-daemon.  I can install it later, from a deb
package off of backports.org web site.
It seems to work.

I guess some people can use clamav by itself.
But it seems to be mentioned more in conjuction
with qmail-scanner.
