Same here. :-/ unfortunetly I can't reproduce it on testing environement, and gdb-ing clamd when it scans email stream before it goes to qmail-queue is not so nice idea :-/ (especially when I'm not watching it 24h/7d). A quick workaround is to use clamdwatch [1]. My clamav versions and how often they ,,hangs'': (those hosts have ~100 mail users each, and small amount of mails daily [~1000 mails hits smtpd, but almost ~50% are viruses]) # clamd -V clamd / ClamAV version 0.67+CVS20040221 Fri Mar 5 17:20:24 CET 2004 Mon Mar 8 09:36:26 CET 2004 # clamd -V clamd / ClamAV version devel-20040305 Sat Mar 6 22:55:22 UTC 2004 Mon Mar 8 04:17:21 UTC 2004 Tue Mar 9 01:02:20 UTC 2004 Tue Mar 9 05:06:22 UTC 2004 PS. what virus is so dumb that it tries to deliver him self to recipient, but prepends his victim's address whith "3d" ? (eg. except to [EMAIL PROTECTED], he sends him self to [EMAIL PROTECTED]) [1] http://mikecathey.com/code/clamdwatch/ Best regards, a. (a new clamav user ;-)) -- ,,Know how to ask.
