Note that I'm NOT confirming whether this a problem of new database
files or not.
I'm giving only a general tip for acquiring old version of files.

You can simply extract them from .cvd files with sigtool:
'sigtool -u FILE'. If freshclam doesn't work for any reason, you can
download .cvd file with wget, lynx or whatever browser you like.
