I would like to setup ClamAV to scan our Samba based Windows file sharing server. The thing I guess I need to do is scan twice a week the "/shared/" directory. If any viruses are found move them to quarantine directory and email someone about it.
Is anyone doing this with ClamAV? How long will it take to burn through 20Gbyte of files or more? I think turning off archive scanning would help a great deal. Anyone got a script they are doing this already that they could share?
Try samba-vfs-vscan-clamav! This is on-access virus scanning with Samba.

If this is not very slow server You can use this! (I've at my office 2xPIII and 40 people = load avarage ~ 0.1)
